One of the founders of 283 Kitchen, and progenitor of the other founder of 283 Kitchen. Leslie Hill-Meier has years of experience under her belt as a professional caterer, and ‘Pro Home Cook’. Just wait until you see her herb garden!
HENRY MEIER
Classically trained culinarian, Henry Meier spent his college years at the Culinary Institute of America where he honed his skills as a chef and learned the tricks of the trade. Enthusiastic educator, who’s going to teach you everything you need to know to bring your weeknight meals to the next level!

283 Kitchen is a cooking club/catering company founded by Henry and Leslie Meier. After graduating culinary school and coming back inspired by the knowledge he’d learned - Henry decided to open his own catering and cooking class business as a respite from his day job in marketing. He managed to persuade his mother to lend her kitchen, her garden and her barbecue. They now act as a duo of teachers for 283 Kitchen.
At first their clientele was family and friends, but after a continuous stream of people asking if they could sit in on a session, and friends inviting friends the company expanded its scope.
Now, 283 Kitchen is a growing culinary business, with custom food gifts, cooking classes and private catering now available.
